Along with several European federations, major companies and pure players representing both future producers and main offtakers of clean hydrogen, and hydrogen national associations, France Hydrogène is calling for the European Commission to recognize a specific carbon content (i.e different of the grid average) for non-fossil PPAs in the upcoming low-carbon hydrogen delegated act, pursuant to the Article 9 of Directive(EU) 2024/1788.

To align with the RFNBO delegated acts, these PPAs should meet geographical and temporal criteria, and be contracted with a specific non-fossil electricity production asset, or a relevant basket of non-fossil assets.
