White paper – Skills and professions of the hydrogen sector : planning ahead to successfully develop an industry of strategic importance

Part and parcel of the 2020 recovery plan, developing the hydrogen sector against the backdrop of a competitive international market has become an issue of major importance for France. The success or otherwise of this drive is heavily dependent on the development of hydrogen sector-related skills and professions in France. On the assumption that the sector needs to organize itself to grow, France Hydrogène has decided to take the initiative to categorize the needs of the industrial sector in terms of skills and professions.
The creation of a national inventory will help identify the needs of the hydrogen sector and then meet those needs by identifying strategic levers, especially with regards to training as well as more generally facilitating initiatives to promote the sector’s development.
